that deer is actually a trained animal for the picture LOL

This picture was taken at Lassen Park September 27,1963. He gave all of the bread to the deer,then the next day when there wasn’t any toast on his plate for breakfast he asked why. The answer was ” I’m sorry, Mr. President you gave it all to the deer.”
